Can I be seen if I've never received mental health treatment before?
Absolutely. Many clients are seeking mental health care for the first time. We welcome new patients who fit within our practice focus and treatment populations. If we believe another provider would better meet your needs, we will gladly provide recommendations.
2
Do I need a referral?Â
No referral is required.
Our practice primarily serves:
-
Veterans
-
Active-duty service members
-
First responders
-
Older adults with complex medical and mental health needs
While we welcome inquiries from others, we reserve the right to determine whether our services are an appropriate fit.

What conditions do you treat?

Do I have to take medications?

Lifestyle modifications
-
Referral to specialty services such as TMS or other advanced treatments
Treatment decisions are always collaborative.

What should I expect during my first appointment?
-
Schedule your appointment.
-
Complete intake paperwork before your visit so we can review it before you arrive.Â
-
Participate in a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation- this makes it sound very formal, but it should feel more like a conversation with a new friend rather than laying on the couch with Sigmund Freud.Â
-
Discuss symptoms, concerns, goals, and treatment options.
-
Review recommendations and develop a personalized treatment plan.
-
Schedule follow-up care if appropriate.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable, respectful environment where you can make informed decisions about your care.
